Hampton Inn Galax

When we arrived, our 3rd party booking (Booking.com) had our dates wrong, I attempted to simply have dates switched as room was already paid for, I sat in the lobby for over 2 hours trying to reach a person at that place , good luck. Never did, tried again the next day no luck, the girl that checked us in followed up trying to call from her end, she too had no luck, then called me a week later for follow up, it was nice to see the follow up. At the end I ended up paying twice for a one night stay and Booking.com never responded and kept my money, lucky for us the hotel had an opening our we would have had to try and find another hotel in a small town. STAY AWAY from booking.com not worth the $5.00 your maybe going to save.

Breakfast was amazing and so many options and a hot breakfast with biscuits and gravy, Waffle bar with blueberry batter. And the staff is truly the definition of southern hospitality! Small touches to make this feel like a 10 star establishment. Clean, clean and did I say clean? Smelled fresh and no odors on the room floors. Nice pool and gym. Great location too.

The breakfast and breakfast area were excellent. We liked the idea of having 2 coffee areas , one for the people eating breakfast, and one for people grabbing a coffee to go. Well thought out. I liked the fact that sugar free syrup was available. The staff kept the breakfast area clean and well stocked

Staff is always friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms always feel very clean. We have stayed here multiple times.
